Jayden Parkinson's Death Caused By Pressure On The Neck

The police confirmed that the cause of Jayden Parkinson's death was "pressure to the neck".

The victims ex-boyfriend Ben Blakeley, 22, has been charged with the murder and perverting the course of justice.

Another two people were involved in the 17-year-old teenager murder: A 48-year-old woman from Didcot was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and is currently on bail and a 17-year-old whohas also been charged with perverting the course of justice by allegedly helping to dispose of Jayden's body.

Jayden was last seen leaving Didcot railway station on 3rd December.

Toxicology tests were ordered after an inconclusive initial post-mortem examination. A police spokesman said: "Those results have now been received and Thames Valley Police can confirm that the cause of death is consistent with pressure to the neck."

Meanwhile, The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating how Thames Valley Police's dealt with the missing persons inquiry.

Police investigating the death of 17-year-old Jayden Parkinson have arrested a 48-year-old woman this morning (Tuesday) on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. The body of Jayden Parkinson was found in an established grave in the Great Western Cemetery next to All Saints Church in Didcot on 18 December.
