Police Scotland Seizure £1.2m Worth Of Heroin

Heroin with an estimated street value of £1.2 million has been recovered by police in Scotland.

Police Scotland say that the drug was found in a car stopped on the A74(M) motorway near Locerkbie in southern Scotland on Saturday.

Three men, aged 16, 19 and 25, where arrested in connection with the seizure and are due to appear before Dumfries Sheriff Court.

Police Scotland said that the men were from Milton Keynes and High Wymcombe.

Woman's Body Found On Street In Edinburgh
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body on Calton Hill in Edinburgh. It is understood that the body was found on a footpath at about 04:30 on Thursday morning. The area has been sealed to allow for a forensic examination to be carried out.

Rape Investigation Against MP Mark Pritchard Dropped
An investigation into rape allegations against Conservative MP Mark Pritchard have been dropped, Scotland Yard has confirmed. Mr Pritchard, MP for The Wrekin in Shropshire, was arrested on 2 December, however he was released on police bail. He has now been informed no further action will be taken.

Man Arrested Over £1m Heroin Find
A man has been arrested in connection with the seizure of heroin, with an estimated street value of £1 million. Police Scotland recovered the heroin, along with a quantity of tablets, a firearm and ammunition, during the search of a property in Inverleith Street in Carntyne. A 33-year-old man has been charged with drug find.

Body Pulled From Methil Docks
The body of a man has been pulled from Methil Docks. Fife Constabulary confirmed today that the 44-year-old's remains were recovered from a stolen yellow pick-up truck that entered the water at dock number three at yesterday.
