Gary Barlow Should Keep His OBE - PM

Prime Minister David Cameron has said Take That star Gary Barlow should not have to hand back his OBE after it emerged he invested in a tax avoidance scheme.

Labour MP Margaret Hodge, chair of the Public Accounts Committee, told The Times he "might want to show a bit of contrition by giving back his OBE", words supported by the Conservative Charlie Elphicke, who said the people "who have seriously abused the tax system should be stripped of their honours".

Despite the fraud, Mr Cameron told ITV's Good Morning Britain, it was not necessary for him to hand back the OBE due the "huge amount" Mr Barlow had done for the country and honoured him for his charity work.
