Two Men Escape From Spring Hill Open Prison

A convicted murderer and another dangerous man have absconded from an open prison in Buckinghamshire.

Darren Douglas, 46, from Birmingham, is serving a life sentence for stabbing a man to death outside a pub in 1998.

Ricardo Dunn, 32, from Burnley, is serving an indeterminate sentence for attacking a man in the street in 2009.

The pair escaped from HM Spring Hill open prison on Sunday.

Police are appealing to the public not to approach the prisoners.

Chief inspector Olly Wright, of Thames Valley Police, said: "Both men have links with other areas so may have travelled out of the Thames Valley to those areas. I would like to remind people that it is a criminal offence to harbour these men and anyone caught doing so would be arrested."
