New Safety Measures Agreed At Anfield

A series of new safety measures have been agreed following claims of a "crush" at Liverpool football ground, Anfield.

The safety plan follows a review ordered by Liverpool County Council looked at crowd management and communication with fans as they entered Anfield.

It was claimed that up to 1,000 Everton fans were held up as they tried to enter Anfield in January, and that some people were "crushed" in the incident.

It is understood that there were no reports of any injuries, according to police.

Liverpool Remembers Hillsborough Victims
Silence fell across Liverpool yesterday as it churches and town hall bells tolled to pay its respects to the 96 fans who died 25 years ago during the 15 April, 1989 FA Cup semi-final match at the Hillsborough stadium. The city stopped to remembered the victims at precisely 3.06pm.

CAA Produce Offshore Helicopter Safety Safety Measures

Arsenal star arrested over rape claim
Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie has been arrested in his native Holland on suspicion of rape, it has been announced. The 21-year-old Premiership player, who is training with the Dutch national squad in Rotterdam, was arrested following claims made a 21-year-old woman.
