Fire Destroys Former Home Of Cadbury Family

A fire has destroyed the former home of the Cadbury family in Birmingham, West Midlands Fire Service has confirmed.

It is understood that the fire broke out at Northfield Manor House at about 20:00 on Wednesday.

Up to 100 firefighters were at the scene fighting the blaze at its height.

An investigation into the fire is underway, but it is believed that the fire may have been the result of a second arson attack, with a smaller fire having been discovered on Tuesday night.

Firefighters said that the house, which has been empty for seven years, may need to be demolished.
