Police Uncover Large-Scale Cannabis Farm
Cannabis worth an estimated £235,000 has been seized by police in Forth Valley, following a tip from a member of the public.
Police say that information supplied by a member of the public lead to a raid being carried out on premises on Main Street in Shieldhill. The raid uncovered a large-scale cannabis cultivation facility.
A 48-year-old man was arrested during the operation.
Police say that the investigation is ongoing and further arrests may be made.

Two people have been arrested following a drugs raid in Leicester. Officers from the neighbourhood action team at Welford Road Police Station executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a house in Littlegarth on the Saffron Lane estate on Thursday 18 February.

'U-Turn' As Cannabis Reclassified To Class B
Cannabis has been reclassified as a Class B drug, it has been announced today. In making her decision The Home Secretary Jacqui Smith went against the advice of The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD), which wanted to keep it a Class C drug. The council has not been overruled for 30 years.

Police in Cardiff searching for a missing person have uncovered a cannabis farm in a disused ward of a psychiatric hospital. It is understood that around 30 cannabis plants were uncovered by officers during a search at Whitchurch Hospital in Cardiff. News of the cannabis farm was revealed in a report by the BBC.
