House Fire Leads To Cannabis Farm Discovery

A house fire has led to the discovery of a suspected cannabis factory in Wrexham.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service say that a fire broke out in the roof space of a house in Market Street, Rhosllanerchrugog, at about 06:00 on Wednesday morning. It then spread to other roof spaces in adjoining houses.

Firefighters worked until around 09:30 to extinguish the fire.

No one was injured in the fire.

A follow-up investigation found a number of cannabis plants in the roof space where the fire began. A joint police and fire investigation is now underway into the fire and the cannabis discovery.

Anyone with information about the cannabis plants is asked to call North Wales Police.
