Police Confirm Helicopter Crash In East Yorkshire

Humberside Police have reported that a helicopter has crashed into the sea off the coast of East Yorkshire.

It is understood that a member of the public reported the crash at about 13:40 on Tuesday.

The crashed helicopter was found near the lighthouse in Flamborough, police have confirmed.

An investigation is underway into the crash.

The public is being urged to stay away from the area until further notice.

Humberside Police have named the two men who died in a helicopter crash on Tuesday. Captain Brian Bridgman, 50, from Canterbury in Kent was piloting the aircraft, and John Kent, 50, from Romford in London was the passenger.

Two helicopter crash bodies identified
Two of the four people killed in Tuesday night's helicopter crash have been identified. Phillip Carter, 44, and his son Andrew Carter, 17, were formally identified as being in the helicopter that crashed on a flight between Liverpool and Peterborough. The helicopter, carrying the party of businessman Phillip Carter, disappeared from radar screens.
