Outbreak Of KHV Disease Confirmed In Wiltshire

An outbreak of KHV disease has been confirmed at Tockenham Reservoir, Bowd’s Lane, Lyneham, Chippenham, Wiltshire.

The site is now subject to statutory controls to prevent or limit the spread of the disease. The Fish Health Inspectorate (FHI) at Cefas, acting on behalf of Defra has issued a confirmed designation prohibiting the movement of fish to, from and within the fishery complex.

Fishery equipment disinfection and movement control measures are also now in place and anglers must ensure that they comply with all biosecurity measures within the designated area.

KHV has no implications for human health. It is nonetheless, a serious viral disease of fish, and is notifiable in the United Kingdom. KHV affects all varieties of common and ornamental carp (Cyprinus carpio) including carp hybrids and can result in high rates of fish mortalities.

Police Appeal After Teen Girl Attacked In Angmering

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old girl was attacked by a man in Angmering.

The victim was walking in Arundel Road, near Fletcher's Field, at about 10.30pm on Wednesday, 1 October, when a man ran at her from behind and pulled her to the ground.

The teenager fought herself free from the man, who ran away towards the nearby graveyard. The victim then raised the alarm.

The attacker was white and wearing a brown hooded top.

CCTV Images Released After Man Is Robbed In Lancashire

Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an incident in which a 43 year old man was robbed.

The incident happened at around 9.15pm on Wednesday 24th September on Midgely Street, Colne.

The 43 year old was walking home through the car park when it is believed that he was approached by two men. The men are thought to have punched and kicked the man to the floor and demanded he hand over money.

The two men got away with £55 from a trouser pocket.

The man is described as a white male, approximately 5ft 6 tall, aged around 18-20 years.

One man has been charged in connection with the offence.

Man Dies In Edinburgh As Cases Of Legionnaires' Disease Increase
A man has died as the number of confirmed and suspected cases of Legionnaires' disease in an Edinburgh outbreak continues to rise. The 50-year-old man, who had underlying health conditions, was being treated at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. NHS Lothian said it was dealing with 17 confirmed and 15 suspected cases but added that it expected more.

Seven Arrested In Dawn Raids In Northumbria
Seven people have been arrested in a series of dawn raids across Ashington, Northumbria. Officers executed a second strike at six addresses in the town on Thursday morning following on from a series of early morning raids on Monday.

Man Murdered In Brentford
A murder inquiry is underway following a stabbing in Brentford. Police were called to the scene around 1am on Sunday 28 November by the ambulance service to reports of two men stabbed at the junction of New Road and Hamilton Road, Brentford.

Man Wanted In Connection With Missing Swansea Man
South Wales Police want to speak to 40-year-old David Craig Ellis in connection with missing 59-year-old Alec Warburton. Mr Warburton from Swansea has not been seen since 31 July. Officers have been searching in and around his home in Vivian Road, Swansea, with a police tent erected on the street on Thursday.
