Funeral Held For Mary Shipstone, Aged 7

The funeral has taken place of seven-year-old Mary Shipstone, who was murdered by her father at her home in Northiam, Sussex.

The child was buried in a private service at St Mary's Church in the village.

It is understood that Mary and her mother Lyndsey had moved to the village of Northiam from a women's shelter, where they had sought refuge from Yasser Alromisse, the child's father.

Mary was shot twice by Alromisse when he ambushed the mother and child outside their home on 11 September.

Alromisse killed himself after shooting his daughter.

A fund to help children affected by trauma has been set up in memory of Mary Shipstone.
