British Woman Dies During Surgery In Thailand

A British woman has died during a cosmetic surgery operation in Thailand, according to officials.

The woman, who has not been named, died while under anaesthesia on the operating table at a clinic in Bagkok.

It is believed the doctor who performed the surgery did not have the correct certification.

The doctor has been arrested on charges of causing reckless death.

Baby Death Mother Named
The British woman charged with causing the death of her newborn baby in a hotel room in Crete has been named. Leah Andrew, from London, has been charged with infantide after being arrested in Malia on Tuesday. Ms Andrew was rushed to hospital by local residents after giving birth alone in her room.

Day surgery time being squandered claims report
Hospitals could reduce pressure on ward beds and bring down waiting lists, by making more efficient use of day surgery, a new report has suggested. The Healthcare Commission’s report into day surgery found that 45% of the theatre time allocated is not being used, due to cancelled operations, late starts and excessive delays between operations.
