Volunteers Move In To Start Removing Tower Poppies
Following the "planting" of the final ceramic poppy at the Tower of London during Tuesday's Armistice services, volunteers will begin removing the 888,246 commemorative flowers.
The first poppy was placed in July, with 13-year-old cadet Harry Hayes placing the final hand-made poppy at the Tower yesterday.
Each of the 888,246 poppies represents the death of British and Commonwealth soldier during World War One.
A team of 8,000 volunteers will begin to remove the poppies today, despite calls for the display to remain at the Tower for longer.
It is understood thousands of the ceramic poppies will tour the country before being permanently installed at the Imperial War Museum.
The remaining poppies are to be sold for £25 each, which is hoped will raise some £15m for the Royal British Legion. According to the official website, all available poppies have been sold.

Tower Of London Poppies To Be Lit For Longer
Historic Royal Palaces has announced the display of ceramic poppies at the Tower of London will be lit for an extra hour at night and earlier in the morning to allow more people to see the exhibition. Currently the poppies are lit from 5am until dawn and from dusk until 11pm. They will now be lit from 4:30am and then kept lit until midnight.

Thieves Target Commemorative Ceramic Poppies
Commemorative ceramic poppies that were "planted" at the Tower of London to mark the deaths of soldiers during World War One are being targeted by thieves. The display – made up of 888,246 ceramic poppies – is currently being removed by thousands of volunteers following the end of the exhibition on 12th November.

Glasgow Housing Association Apologises Following Demolition Failure
Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) has apologised after a planned demolition at the Red Road tower blocks at the weekend did not go according to plan. Controlled explosions were carried out on the famous tower blocks to raze them to the ground; however, a significant portion of two of the six dwellings remained largely intact following the blasts.

London's Gherkin Tower In Receivership
The famous Gherkin skyscraper in London has been placed into receivership. According to reports, the move comes after one of the building's owners was placed in insolvency. IVG Immobilien co-owns the 40-storey structure with private equity firms Evans Randall, and it was the former that filed for insolvency in 2013.
