Police Appeal After Teenager Found Beaten And Burned

Police in Tyneside are appealing for information after a 16-year-old boy was found wandering next to the A198 Annitsford roundabout on Saturday morning.

It is understood the teenager was found to have been beaten and burned, suffering a fractured cheekbone, facial injuries and burns to his body.

He was found shortly before 10am and remains in hospital.

Northumbria Police said it was believed he may have been injured at a party the previous evening.

Men bailed over Merseyside van shooting
Three men arrested in connection with the murder of a man shot dead in his van in Merseyside last year have been released on bail. The men, aged 22, 23 and 32 and all from Bootle, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday. Stephen Lloyd, 25, was shot dead as he sat in his van in Redfern Street in Bootle just after 5pm on July 13 last year.

Police investigating the murder of a man shot dead in his van in Merseyside last year have arrested three men. Stephen Lloyd, 25, was shot dead as he sat in his van in Redfern Street in Bootle just after 5pm on July 13 last year. The van was later found burned out.

Man killed and another injured in drive-by shooting
A man has been killed and another injured following a drive-by shooting outside a gym in Hertfordshire. The attack occurred at around 9.30am when the two men were fired upon from a passing Ford Transit van. The pair had been standing outside the Physical Limit Health and Fitness Club in Hoddesdon when they were shot.

Police Investigating If Woman Was Trying To Save Dog When She Was Hit By Train
British Transport Police investigating the death of a woman have said that she may have been trying to save a dog when she was hit by a train. The 22-year-old woman was struck by a train close to Ainsdale station near Southport, Merseyside at about 15:00 on Wednesday. Transport police said a dog was also found dead at the scene.

Burned Body Found On Scottish Golf Course
A golf course in Carnoustie in Angus has been closed, following the discovery of a badly burned body this morning, Tayside Police have confirmed. The body was discovered by officers around 6:40am this morning on the Buddon Golf Course. The area where the body was discovered has been cordoned off and an examination of the scene is being carried out.
