100 New Jobs To Be Created By Turbine Company

A new turbine assembly plant in Wales is to create 100 new jobs.

Tidal Lagoon Power, which will manufacture turbines for the Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon project, has not yet decided on a site for its plant, but is understood to be considering three in south-west Wales.

The company hopes to ship one turbine per month when first established, and to scale up the operation by 2018 to ship one per week.
