Police Seek Woman In Connection With Six-Day-Old Baby's Death

Police are appealing for help in tracing a woman they want to speak to in connection with the death of a six-week-old baby.

The Metropolitan Police have released a CCTV image of a woman at Tooting Broadway station in south London at 20:40 on Thursday 27 November. They believe the woman came into contact with the baby prior to its death in November, last year.

Police said the full footage shows the woman "checking on the baby".

It is understood a few days after the footage was captured police were called to an address on Russell Road, where the baby boy had become unresponsive. The baby was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

A post-mortem examination is understood to have proved inconclusive.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information on the woman to contact them.
