UK Companies Named For Not Paying Minimum Wage

Seventy companies across the UK have been named by the government for failing to pay the minimum wage.

It is the latest list of firms to be named since the new rules were introduced in 2013, in an effort to "shame" companies into complying.

Not paying staff the minimum wage for people over 21 - £6.50 per hour – has been described as "illegal, immoral and completely unacceptable" by Business Secretary, Jo Swinson.

It is understood that the worst offender on the latest list is East Midland's Crossroads, which currently owes £37,500 to its staff.
