Firefighters Tackle Blaze At Industrial Unit

A fire has broken out at an industrial unit on Western Road, Park Royal, London.

The London Fire Brigade was called to the scene at around 00:29 on Thursday morning (2 April).

More than 100 firefighters are currently at the scene. It is understood the ground and first floor of one of the units is on fire, as is a large section of the unit's roof.

Bill Dunn, Station Manager, London Fire Brigade, said: "The fire is causing a lot of smoke in the Park Royal area and locals should shut windows and doors. This is likely to be a protracted incident and will probably be causing disruption into the morning rush hour so avoid the area if you can."

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
