Man Critical After Being Hit By Tube Train
A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a Tube train in Stockwell, south London.
Transport for London said that a man is understood to have been "bending over to pick up a bag" when he was hit by a train at about 9am on Friday.
He is believed to have suffered "life-threatening head injuries"
Easyjet Announce 'Rescue' Flights For Stranded Passengers
Easyjet has announced a number of "rescue" flights in an effort to ease delays caused by French air traffic controllers strikes.
The airline cancelled 248 flights on Wednesday and 340 on Thursday as French workers strike in an industrial dispute.
It is understood that the airline will operate five "rescue" flights today in an effort to help passengers return home from European cities, after being stranded in European cities.
Police Given More Time To Question Terrorism Suspects
Police in Dover have been granted extra time to question three men arrested on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences.
The men, understood to be from Birmingham and all aged in their 20s, were arrested on 03 April.
Police have now been given until 17 April to charge of release the men.
Three others arrested in the same operation have since been released without charge.

Great Train Robber Released
Ronnie Biggs has been formally released from prison today on compassionate grounds. Justice Secretary Jack Straw yesterday approved the Great Train Robber's release. Biggs - who turns 80 tomorrow - is severely ill with pneumonia was told he is unlikely to recover.

Airports across Britain are facing major delays, following the disruption of a terrorist plot to blow up flights travelling between UK and the US. It is believed that the plot involved plans to smuggle explosives aboard several airliners with the intention of detonating the device mid-flight.

UK remains on terror alert following plane bomb plot
Britain is remaining on a 'critical' level security alert as police continue to investigate an alleged plot to blow up ten transatlantic flights. Police are continuing to question 24 people, reportedly all Muslims, in connection with the plot, which would have targeted flights between Britain and the US.
