Fire Crews Attend Bus Blaze
Emergency services have attended a bus fire incident in Brighton.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a bus on fire just before 7am today 4 June.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus', one hose reel jet and fire extinguishing foam to tackle the blaze.
The cause of the fire was found to be accidental.
Fire crews handed the incident over to Brighton and Hove Buses before leaving the scene at 8.07am.
There were no reports of any casualties.
Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder
A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following an incident in Essex.
The 30-year-old victim died after having been stabbed in the chest at a scrap yard on 2 June.
He was found collapsed in the Park Road area
The suspect was arrested in Acton, London on 3 June.
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Werrett said he believed a further two men were involved and has appealed for witnesses.
Firm To Create Jobs In Birmingham
A finance company has announced plans to create over 700 jobs in Birmingham.
Sigma Financial Group has opened a new office in Priory Queensway.
The firm said approximately 200 staff will be recruited by the end of this year with a further 500 expected by 2017.
Over 300 staff are employed at Sigma's Prospect Hill base in Redditch.

Firefighters launch four-day strike

Heroic Tyne Firemen Honoured
Two Tyne and Wear firefighters are to be recognised for their bravery at a special ceremony today. Andrew Nelson and Allan Richardson will be presented with the Chief Fire Officer's Commendations for brave and meritorious conduct after saving a man's life. The men took part in a dramatic rescue in the early hours of 4 February.

Suspicious Glasgow Car Fires
Detectives in Glasgow's East End are investigating a spate of vehicle fire attacks in the city yesterday. Shortly after 3.30am police were called to a report of a vehicle fire in Ashvale Crescent, Glasgow. Upon arrival police were advised by Strathclyde Fire Service that four vehicles had been damaged by fire.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the Fairglen interchange at Rayleigh and the Carpenters Arms roundabout as smoke from a large tyre fire has reduced visibility. A stack of tyres more than 160ft long and 6ft tall on a waste storage site have been burning since Monday night.
