68 Immigrants Found In Shipping Container

Sixty-eight immigrants have been found locked inside a shipping container at a port in Essex, it has been confirmed.

East of England Ambulance Service said they had been discovered at Harwich International Port at around 10pm on Thursday, 4 June. Seven people were transported to Colchester Hospital believing to be suffering from non life-threatening abdominal and chest pains. The remaining 61 people were assessed and released to UK Border Agency officials.

According to reports, the container is thought to have come from Holland. Those inside were from a number of countries, from Europe and further afield.

A man has been arrested by police in Northern Ireland in connection with the death of a man found inside a shipping container in Essex. The 34-year-old man, from Limavady, was arrested in Banbridge today on suspicion of manslaughter and facilitating illegal entry.

13 Children Among Group Found In Shipping Container
Essex Police have confirmed that thirteen children were among 35 Afghan Sikh's found inside a shipping container at Tilbury Docks on Saturday. Police say the group, which included children aged between one and 12, arrived on a ship from Belgium and are believed to be the victims of "people trafficking".

Intruder breaks into Prince Charles' home
An intruder armed with a pitchfork has been arrested after breaking into the grounds of Prince Charles' country home in Gloucestershire. According to reports, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were asleep inside Highgrove when the intruder evaded security and entered the grounds.
