Chris Evans Reveals Top Gear Job

Chris Evans has revealed that he will be the new lead presenter of Top Gear.

Evans made the revelation on his Radio 2 breakfast show this morning.

He said that prior to the official announcement he contacted former presenters, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, to tell them he had accepted the job – which he had previously said he wouldn't take.

Evans said that Richard Hammond wished him luck and "didn't blame him" for taking the job, with Clarkson also wishing him the "best of luck".

FA Charge Cisse And Evans Over Spitting Incident
The Football Association (FA) has charged Newcastle United's Papiss Cisse and Manchester United's Jonny Evans over a spitting incident during a match on Wednesday 4 March. The charges are in relation to an alleged breach of FA Rule in that in or around the 38th minute of the game the two players spat at each other.

Oldham Athletic Drops Deal To Sign Ched Evans
Oldham Athletic has dropped the deal to sign convicted rapist Ched Evans. The football club has not commented on the issue. However Evans has apologised n a statement through the PFA. He said: I an grateful for the support of the PFA in helping me try to return to football and continue my career.

Oldham Athletic To Make Announcement Regarding Signing Of Ched Evans
Oldham Athletic are expected to make an announcement on Thursday regarding the signing of convicted rapist Ched Evans. Oldham are believed to be signing the 26-year-old, despite a petition with more than 60,000 signatures against the decision. Labour TD Ed Miliband said: "He [Evans] hasn't shown remorse and I wouldn’t take him on.
