Body Recovered From Fife Quarry

A body has been recovered from a disused quarry in Fife, Police Scotland have reported.

A search operation was launched on Thursday night following reports that a teenager was seen in the water at Prestonhill Quarry in Inverkeithing.

Police Scotland said that they believe the recovered body is 18-year-old John McKay, but added that inquiries are ongoing.

Investigation Launched After Pupils Go Missing During School Trip

An investigation has been launched after four primary school pupils went missing during a school trip.

The pupils, aged eight and nine, from Rhos Primary in Swansea Valley went missing while on a trip to the Mumbles on Tuesday.

It is understood that police were called, and the pupils were found and reunited with their class.

Woman's Beach Death 'Not Suspicious'

Police have ruled that the death of a woman on a beach in south Wales is "not suspicious".

It is understood that the 23-year-old woman died after a rock fell from cliffs and hit her on the head.

The incident happened in Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan, just before 17:30 on Thursday.

Ofsted inspectors have condemned a Muslim free school, open for less than a year, as "dysfunctional" and inadequate in every category of its inspection. The regulator had been due to inspect the Al-Madinah school in Derby at the end of its first year, however following reports of concerns about teaching standards and treatment of pupils.
