UK Teenagers Arrested For Thefts From Auschwitz

Police in Poland have reportedly arrested two British teenagers on suspicion of stealing artefacts from the former Auschwitz death camp.

According to a report by the BBC, the unnamed teenagers stole artefacts that belonged to prisoners held at the camp during World War Two.

The UK Foreign Office confirmed that it was in contact Polish authorities and are ready to provide consular support.

Woman Found In Sea Identified

Police have identified the body of a woman found in the sea off the Pembrokeshire coast.

Police have not released the woman's name, but have said that she was a 63-year-old visiting from Newcastle.

Her death is being treated as unexplained and an investigation is ongoing.

Police Appeal For Witnesses To 200ft Car Plunge

Police have named a woman who died when her car left the road and plunged 200ft down a steep embankment.

She was Lesleyann Smith, 48, from Echt.

The accident happened on the A92 Stonehaven to Inverbervie road, near the Bervie Bridge, at about 16:25 on Monday.

Her white Vauxhall Corsa car landed on its roof when it came to rest about 200ft below the road. Police have appealed for witnesses.

Seven Injured In Police Van Collision
A police van transporting a suspect has collided with a car in Sheffield, injuring seven people. South Yorkshire Police say the incident, which happened on Abbeydale Road at about 23:30 on Sunday, involved a police van and a red Peugeot 207.

Body Found In Search For Missing Woman
A body has been discovered in Sutton Mill by police investigating the disappearance of Jennifer Hayman. The body was found at 18:00 on Thursday. Formal identification has not yet been made, but police said that Ms Hayman's family have been informed of the find. A post-mortem is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Human Remains Found During Search For Missing Woman
Police Scotland have confirmed that human remains have been found during the search for missing 19-year-old Hazel North. A search had been ongoing for Ms North, who was from Dunfermline and has been missing since 04 March. Police have not yet been confirmed if the remains found in Dean Park are those of Ms North.

Release Of Police Killer Described As 'Sickening'
The release of a man convicted of killing three unarmed police officers in 1966 has been described as "sickening". Harry Roberts, now aged 78, has been released from prison after serving 48 years for 1966 murders of three unarmed police officers in Shepherd's Bush in west London.

Major Police Hunt Launched After Boy Taken From Hospital
A major police hunt has begun after a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour, was taken by his family without consent from Southampton General Hospital. Police said that Ashya King was taken from the hospital by Brett King, 51, and Naghemeh King, 45, on Thursday. It is thought he may have been taken to France.
