Teenager Who Died In Brighton Cliff Fall Named As Nick Cave's Son

A 15-year-old boy who died after falling from a cliff in Brighton has been named as Arthur Cave, son of musician Nick Cave.

It is understood that the teenager was found on the underpass of Ovingdean Gap at 18:00 on Tuesday suffering life threatening injuries.

He died a short time later in hospital.

Sussex Police have said it is believed that the teenager fell from the cliff above the underpass and they are not treating the death as suspicious.

A statement released by Nick Cave and his wife Susie, through police said: "Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy, loving boy.

"We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time."

Caver's Body 'Brought- up' After 39 Years
A caver's body has been brought to the surface after lying underground for more than 39 years. Paul Heinz Esser died while cave diving in Porth yr ogof in the south of the Brecon Beacons national park. The remains of the trainee diver were recovered last week by two members of the South & Mid Wales Cave Rescue Team.
