Urgent Appeal Made For Missing Mother And Son

Police in Walsall have made an urgent appeal for information on the whereabouts of Jessica Simpson and her 23-month-old son, Alfie Rogers.

The 30-year-old mother and her child have been missing since around 4pm on Friday, 31 July, when Jessica picked the toddler up from her mother's house in Bloxwich where Alfie lives.

They were reported to police as missing three days later on Monday evening when a full-scale investigation was immediately launched.

As part of the ongoing probe, officers have spoken to family and friends and searched a number of addresses. As a result of those inquiries, police now believe Jessica has been staying with different friends.

Inquiries have also led officers to Walsall's County Hotel on Birmingham Road where she is captured on CCTV with Alfie where she tried unsuccessfully to book a room.

Sergeant Craig Lewis from Bloxwich Police Station said: "Alfie usually lives with his grandma but has been with his mum for a number of days now. It's time that he went home.

"I'm appealing directly to Jessica to get in touch so that we can pick little Alfie up. He'll have had an exhausting couple of days moving from place to place and needs to go home.

"Jessica, please call us now on 101 so that we can get officers to where you are."

Jessica is described as white, 5'3" tall and slim. She has brown eyes and brown shoulder length hair.

Alfie is described as white with blue eyes and brown hair.

Jessica or anyone who has seen her and little Alfie should call police immediately on 101. Information can also be passed on via the independent charity Missing People on 116 000.
