Sex Offender Wanted After Failing To Turn Up For Court

Police are attempting to trace the whereabouts of a convicted child sex offender after he failed to turn up to court for a new trial.

Joseph Tsang, 31, of Sandy Lane, Oxford was found guilty in his absence at Oxford Crown Court of sexual offences on 25 August.

The Chinese national was convicted of two courts of rape and two counts of sexual assault. The offences occurred in Hampshire.

Earlier this year, Tsang was also found guilty of one count of making indecent images of children, two counts of cause/incite a female under 16 years to engage in sexual activity, and three counts of sexual activity with a child under 16 years.

Police believe Tsang has fled the Oxford area and could potentially be in Hong Kong where he has family.

He is described as being 5ft 7ins , slim, clean shaven, with brown eyes and short straight black hair.

He usually wears glasses and earrings in both ears.

Tsang also has access to to a black Suzuki Swift with the registration BV07VEL.

Det Chief Insp Katy Barrow-Grint said: "If anyone knows the whereabouts of Joseph Tsang then I would urge them to look inside their conscience and think about the victims who have been through a living nightmare at his hands.

"These victims are entitled to justice."

Suspended sentence for student voyeur
A student who secretly filmed women in the bathroom at his university halls of residence has been given a suspended sentence. Charles Greaves, 19, from Wellington, Shropshire, pleaded guilty to three counts of installing equipment to gain images for sexual gratification, as well as three counts of viewing images for sexual gratification.
