Appeal For Witnesses Following Fatal Bus Crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal bus crash in Coventry.

Two people were killed after a double decker bus collided with a Sainsbury's supermarket at around 6pm on Saturday, 03 October.

A women pedestrian, believed to be in her 70's, died at the scene.

A seven-year-old boy who was travelling on the top of the bus was also killed. His cousin, an eight-year-old girl, remains in a stable condition in hospital.

It is understood the 77-year-old male bus driver is assisting police with their enquiries.

Five other people suffered injuries in the collision.

Officers are aware a number of people who have spoken about the incident have yet to give statements to police.

Inspector Paul Bennett said: "Investigations are on-going but we are aware of a number of vital witnesses who we are yet to speak to. We know there were possibly hundreds of people at the crash scene on Saturday evening and I would urge these people to come forward as soon as possible and give statements."

Anyone who witnessed the collision should call police on 101 quoting log 1017 of 4/10/15.

Two Arrested Over Fatal Minibus Crash
Two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal minibus crash in Staffordshire. Two people died when the minibus they were travelling in collided with a lorry just before 07:00 on Sunday morning. Another six people travelling in the bus were injured, one critically, in the crash.

Appeal Follows Murder Of Lee John Hook
Detectives are appealing for information in Harrow Town Centre today, two weeks on from the murder of Lee John Hook. They will be speaking to people to try and trace any witnesses they have not previously spoken to. Police were called at approximately 1:40am on Friday 22 October to Kymberley Road following reports of a man shot.
