Drugs And Shotgun Recovered In Greater Manchester

Police have seized drugs and a shotgun during a warrant execution in Cheetham Hill.

A 31-year-old man and 25-year-old were arrested during the operation on Wednesday, 14 October.

Cannabis with an estimated street value of £750, a quantity of cash and a shotgun were recovered from an address of Cheetham Hill Road.

Geller Spoon Sculpture Removed

The statue of a bent spoon donated to Sonning by Uri Geller has been removed.

The TV illusionist, famous for bending spoons, gifted the large red statue to the Berkshire village where he lived for 35 years.

It is understood that the sculpture did not have the necessary planning permission from Workingham Borough Council. However, it is not know who removed the sculpture, or why.

Appeal Issued Following Two Car Collision

Police have appealed for witnesses to a two car collision in Sussex.

The collision occurred at the junction of the A286 Midhurst Road and the B2141 in Mid Lavant just before midnight and involved a white Renault Clio and a black Vauxhall Insignia estate car.

A 27-year-old woman and 19-year-old man are being treated in hospital following the crash.

Unlicensed Minicab Driver Jailed For Killing Passenger
An unlicensed minicab driver has been jailed for eight years for causing the death of a passenger. Matab Uddin, 59, of Blackshots Lane, Essex was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving and fraud. The court heard how police were called on Sunday, 17 November 2013 at about 1:45am to reports of a man injured on Essex Road.

Investigation Launched After Death Of Woman Following Bus Fall
A woman has died in hospital after falling on a route E3 bus on Chiswick High Road, just after 13:30 on Tuesday, 18 August. The 77-year-old woman was taken to hospital by ambulance, where she was pronounced dead shortly before 17:00.

Up To Four Suffer 'Life-Changing' Injuries In Troop Carrier Collision
More than 20 people have been injured, 4 or 5 seriously, in a collision involving three troop carriers on Salisbury Plain. Wiltshire Police were called to the accident at about 18:30 on Wednesday. The cause of the accident is being investigated but it is understood that 4 or 5 people have suffered "life-changing injuries".

Car Crash Kills Two In Wrexham
Two men have died in a road traffic collision near Wrexham. The deceased, aged 19 and 22, and from Shropshire, were travelling along the A495 Ellesmere Road, in the direction of Penley, when their car hit a tree. The incident, which involved a silver Vauxhall Corsa, happened at around 10.55pm on Thursday.

One killed in helicopter collision
One person has been killed after two RAF helicopters collided in mid-air, it has been reported. According to reports, at least two other people have been injured in the crash, which took place near Market Drayton in Shropshire, just before 3pm on Wednesday. The helicopters involved are believed to be Squirrel training helicopters from RAF Shawbury.
