Appeal Issued For Missing Kingston Woman

Police have appealed for help to trace 49-year-old Georgina Porter from Kingston, southwest London.

Ms Porter was last seen by her family walking her tan coloured Staffordshire Bull Terrier Gracie in Richmond Park at 00:30 on Wednesday, 21 October.

Georgina is described as white, of large build with blonde hair. When last seen, she was wearing a green Timberland jacket and dark coloured trousers. She was carrying a rucksack.

Anyone who has seen Georgina is asked to contact the Missing Persons Unit at Kingston via 101.

Officers Praised For Thames Rescue
A brave officer has been praised for saving a man from drowning in the River Thames. PC George Alleway of the Metropolitan Police Service based in Kingston was called to an address by concerned residents at the Quayside on Saturday, after a man in his 30's was reported to be in a distressed state.

£30m Heroin Haul
Three men have been sentenced at Kingston Crown Court to a total of 55.5 years in jail for their roles in a £30m drugs haul. Harminder Chana, 32, of Upton Lane, E6 was found guilty of conspiracy to supply heroin on 25 June 2009 at Kingston Crown Court. He was sentenced to 17 years in prison.

Man in court over Laila Rezk murder
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of 51-year-old mother-of-two Laila Rezk. Lloyd Edwards, 18, from Roehampton, southwest London was remanded in custody Kingston Magistrates' Court on Thursday. He is next due to appear at the Old Bailey on March 19.
