Child Seriously Injured By Firework

Police have appealed for witnesses after a child was seriously injured by a firework while attending a bonfire in Lewes on Saturday, 17 October.

The six-year-old girl was with her mother at the Nevill Bonfire celebrations off Nevill Road when she was hit on the head. She was treated at Kings College Hospital in London with a perforated ear drum and a fractured skull. Her mum also suffered bruises and burns after also being hit.

Neither of their injuries are life threatening.

Detective constable Matt Cherryman said: "We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the event or recorded the display during bonfire display please contact police on 101 or email101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 945 of 17/10."

Police Appeal For Witnesses After Pedestrian Hit By Lorry
Police have appealed for information on an incident involving a pedestrian and lorry on the North Circular Road in Central London. A man remains in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a lorry on eastbound A406 just before 5am. Police said that the driver of the lorry is "assisting with enquiries", but no arrests have been made.

Police Appeal For Witnesses After Woman Hit By Falling Traffic Lights
Northumbria Police have appealed for witnesses to an incident in which a pedestrian was hit by traffic lights after a lorry collided with them. It is understood that the female pedestrian was standing next to the lights when a lorry left the road and collided with them. The lights then fell and hit the woman.
