SkyKing Launch New Working Platform At SED

SkyKing, launched the new groundbreaking range of mast reverse articulated aerial working platforms which can be elevated to a height of 14m in just 60 seconds, at this year’s SED.

The new range comprises the 140 MRA, which provides an impressive 14m working height, the MRA 150 which provides an increased working height of 15m and the 155 MRA which rises to 15.5m. All machines provide a 200kg load capacity together with ‘up and over’ capability at 14 metres enabling operators to gain access in the most awkward environments.

Jim Longstaff, General Manager at SkyKing comments: “We have had tremendous success with our traditional RA products and we are delighted to be able to provide our customers with even more choice with the new competitively priced MRA range which has been specifically designed for speed, safety, easy of operation and optimum versatility.”

In addition other exhibits included a 269 Pantel, and a 15m telescopic jib unit fitted to a 6.2 tonne Mitsubishi Canter chassis.

As the UK’s sole distributor world-renowned Wumag working aerial platforms the company will also be featuring a new truck mounted WT355 unit.

Explosives Sniffer Dog Handler Killed
The Ministry of Defence has confirmed the death of Lance Corporal Liam Tasker, The Royal Army Veterinary Corps, 1st Military Working Dog Regiment, who died in Afghanistan on Tuesday. Lance Corporal (L/Cpl) Liam Richard Tasker deployed to Afghanistan on 8 September 2010 as part of 1st Military Working Dog Regiment.
