Met Office issues storm warning
The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning ahead of storms that are expected to batter England and Wales over the next two days.
Strong winds and heavy rain are forecast across southern counties of England and Wales throughout Wednesday and Thursday bringing disruption to some areas.
Winds of 50mph are likely and up to 50mm of rain could fall across many areas with the chance of 70mm in some locations. Localised flooding and fallen debris will add to the poor conditions for travellers.
Although not a record breaker, this weather is certainly unseasonal for July, with the combination of strong winds, heavy rain and depressed temperatures making it feel more like November.
The Highways Agency said it was urging drivers, especially of high-sided vehicles, to take extra care during the predicted windy conditions. The Agency said it would be working with the police to ensure that disruption from any accidents and incidents is minimised and traffic kept moving.
With heavy rain and spray likely to lead to reduced visibility, anyone driving high-sided vehicles or towing caravans are being asked to take extra care on the roads.

Gales predicted in UK
The UK is bracing itself for some strong winds and heavy rain throughout Tuesday and into Wednesday. The Met Office said that a deep area of low pressure would bring unseasonably strong winds and heavy rain to northern parts of the UK, especially north-west Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Severe Weather Conditions Hit The UK
Storms, snow, heavy downpours and strong winds are sweeping across the UK today, as the country braces itself for severe weather conditions. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are bearing the brunt of the bad weather, but the Met Office has warned that no region is likely to escape the wintry conditions.

Forecasters have warned that gusts of 60 mph and more than an inch of rain are possible in some areas, as two Atlantic depressions track across the country through the next three days.
