Man arrested in double murder case
Police investigating the murder of a teenage mother and her baby daughter in Cornwall have arrested a man.
Devon and Cornwall police confirmed that the man had been arrested in Hampshire and they planned to bring the suspect to Cornwall for questioning.
Police also confirmed that a Peugeot 306 car had also been recovered.
Nineteen-year-old Claire Ford and her 18-month-old daughter Charlotte, who was known as Charlie, were found dead on April 26.
Following post-mortem examinations, it was revealed that mother and daughter had both died from blows caused by a blunt instrument.
The man who has been arrested has so far not been named.
Police had been trying to trace Ms Ford’s fiancé Christopher Adams, who is also Charlie’s father.

Deepcut investigation criticised in new report
The Surrey Police investigation into the deaths of recruits at the Deepcut army barracks has been criticised by another police force. Devon and Cornwall Police’s report into the deaths for four recruits at the barracks concluded that Surrey Police narrowed the focus of the inquiry by concentrating too much on suicide as the most likely outcome.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Teenager Arrested Over Rape Of 12-Year-Old Girl
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of 12-year-old girl in east London. Three males lead the girl to a "secluded" end of a street in Walthamstow at around 00:15 on Saturday before two of them attacked her, held her down and raped her.
