Mary-Ann murder – fourth man remanded

A fourth man has been remanded in custody, charged with the murder of Reading teenager Mary–Ann Leneghan earlier this month.

Twenty-three-year-old Llewellyn Olemide Adams also faces charges of kidnap and the attempted murder of Mary-Ann’s eighteen-year-old friend.

Yesterday, two men – Adrian Anthony Thompson, 19, and Indrit Krasniqi, 18 –were remanded in custody at Reading Magistrates Court. They were also charged with Mary-Ann’s murder, as well as kidnap and attempted murder.

A fourth man, Jamaile Morally, 21, was remanded in custody on Saturday. He has been charged with the rape of Mary-Ann’s friend, as well as murder, attempted murder and kidnap.

All four men are due to appear at Reading Crown Court on Thursday.

Sixteen-year-old Mary-Ann and her friend are alleged to have been abducted from a pub car park in Reading on May 6.

They were taken to a local guesthouse, where they were subjected to physical and sexual assaults before being taken to Prospect Park, where Mary-Ann’s body was discovered in the early morning of May 7. She had died from a stab wound to the neck.

Her eighteen-year-old friend survived the attack, despite suffering a gunshot wound.

Fourth man charged with Mary-Ann murder
A fourth man has been charged with the murder of Reading teenager Mary-Ann Leneghan, Thames Valley Police have confirmed. Llewellyn Olemide Adams, 23, was charged with the murder of the 16-year-old this afternoon. Earlier today, two men appeared in court charged with Mary-Ann's murder.

Fifth man arrested in Reading murder
Police have confirmed that a fifth man has been arrested in the investigation into the murder of 16-year-old Mary-Ann Leneghan. A man in his twenties who was arrested yesterday has been released on bail. Three other men who were arrested on Saturday have also been released on bail.

Fourth man arrested in Reading murder
Detectives investigating the murder of Reading teenager Mary Ann Leneghan have confirmed that a man has been arrested in London. Police said that three addresses in south London were searched early this morning and a man in his twenties was arrested. The man is currently in custody and is awaiting questioning.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Faversham at the weekend. Kent Police confirmed Lincoln Payne, of no fixed abode, had been charged with robbery, theft and two counts of attempted murder following an incident in Fostall Avenue on Saturday, 30 May.

Surrey Murder Suspect Arrested
Police have arrested 38-year-old Viktoras Bruzas on suspicion of murdering a couple in Surrey. The bodies of Patrick and Gillian Kettyle were found at their home in Fetcham in the early hours of Thursday morning. Police had issued an appeal for help in tracing Mr Bruzas in connection with the murders, and had urged the public not to approach him.
