Tube evacuated in series of 'incidents'

Emergency services have cordoned off four Tube stations in London following a series of incidents at around 12:30 today.

The Tube system has been partially shut down as trains were evacuated as they reached the next station. There are unconfirmed reports that three incidents had occurred. One person is reported to have been injured at Warren Street. There are no further details at present.

Passengers on the Warren Street train reported a bang on a carriage. It is believed that a small detonation may have occurred in a rucksack on the north bound train on the Victoria Line stopped at the station.

At the Oval station a man fled from a train after a small explosion as the train reached the station.

In the incident at Shepherd's Bush a man was reported to have said that he was going to blow himself up, but then ran off.

A No. 26 bus had windows blown out in Hackney in East London following a small explosion on the top deck.

The station at Westminster was cordoned off for a time but is reported to have been re-opened.

Transport for London confirmed that services on the Victoria, Northern and Hammersmith & City Lines had been suspended.

Police have been reported to be checking nearby hospitals for anyone potentially injured in the explosions, particularly the perpetrators.

It is two weeks since four bombs on trains and a bus exploded killing 56 people.

Thursday's series of incidents are not being treated as a serious incident by police.
