Three remanded over Birmingham riot stabbing

Three men accused of killing a man during violent disturbances in Birmingham have been remanded in custody.

The three men – Waqar Ahmed, 25, and Azhil and Afzal Khan, both 22 – who are all from Handsworth, have also been accused of wounding with intent. Azhil Khan has also been charged with firearms offences.

The charges relate to the murder of Isiah Young-Sam, 23, who was stabbed in the chest as he walked in the Lozells area of Birmingham on October 22. His friend, Andrew Byfield, was also stabbed during the attack.

The three men were remanded in custody and are due to reappear at Birmingham Crown Court on November 8.

Arrests Made Over Fatal Stabbing
Three men have been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a teenager in east London earlier this year. Godwin Lawson, a 17-year-old footballer from Enfield, north London, died after he was stabbed in Stamford Hill on 27 March. Two other men, aged 18 and 20, were also stabbed during the incident.

Man remanded over Manchester triple murder
A 32-year-old man been remanded in custody after he was charged with the murder of a woman and her two teenage children in Manchester. Pierre Williams, from Cherrington Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham, was charged with killing Beverley Samuels, 36, her 18-year-old daughter Kesha Wizzart and 13-year-old son Fred Junior Wizzart.

Seven members of a biker gang have been jailed for their involvement in a mass brawl inside an airport terminal. Up to 30 members of the Hells Angels and Outlaw biker groups, some armed with knives, clashed at Birmingham Airport last January.

Man Charged With Attacks On Three Woman In Birmingham
A 39-year-old man is due to appear in court today charged with attacking three women in Birmingham city centre on the same day.
