Divers continue search for Dorset boys

A search for the two teenage boys swept off a Dorset cliff by a wave has been downgraded as hopes of finding the pair alive fade.

Charlie Morrell, 15, and his friend Mathew Myburgh, 16, were swept into the sea off Lulworth Cove in Dorset on Thursday.

A major air, search and coastal search involving coastguard and police helicopters, lifeboats and on-shore rescue teams failed to locate the boys although a number of items of clothing thought to belong to them have been recovered.

The group of three teenagers on a fishing trip had been climbing cliffs near Lulworth Cove around the west point towards Stair Hole, when two of the boys were swept into the sea by a wave.

After entering the water to try and rescue his friends, the third boy raced to a nearby hotel to raise the alarm.

Specialist police diving teams are now continuing to search the area near to the cove where the boys entered the water.
