BNP leader found not guilty of race hate charges
The leader of the British National Party has been cleared of two charges of inciting racial hatred.
Nick Griffin, from Llanerfyl, Powys had denied four counts of using words or behaviour intended to incite racial hatred.
Another BNP activist, Mark Collett, from Rothley, Leicestershire, also denied eight similar charges.
Mr Griffin was cleared of two charges, while Mr Collett was found not guilty of four offences at Leeds Crown Court.
The jury was later discharged after failing to reach a verdict on the remaining two charges against Mr Griffin and four charges against Mr Collett.
The charges related to a series of six speeches, secretly filmed by a BBC journalist as part of the documentary, 'The Secret Agent' in 2004.
In the speeches, Griffin described Islam as a "wicked, vicious faith", while Collett said: "Let's show these ethnics the door in 2004."
The Crown Prosecution Service will make a decision in the next few days on whether a retrial will be held on the remaining charges.

The leader of the British National Party (BNP) has stepped down. Nick Griffin said that "fifteen years is more than long enough" and he "initially hoped to hand the responsibility over several years ago". Adam Walker is now the Acting Leader of the party, pending the routine leadership election due under the BNP's Constitution next year.

Teen admits supermarket toilet rape
A 15-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to the rape of an 11-year-old girl in a supermarket toilet. The teenager had been accused of attacking the girl in the toilet at the Sainsbury's store on the Shires Retail Park in Leamington Spa on March 2. He also admitted another four charges of sexual assault during the hearing at Warwick Crown Court.
