Teenager arrested over supermarket rape

Police investigating the rape of an eleven-year-old girl in a supermarket toilet have arrested a 15-year-old boy.

The girl had been shopping with her mother in the Sainsbury's store in Shires Retail Park, Leamington Spa, on March 2 when the attack took place.

She was attacked when she went to the ladies toilets in the store.

Warwickshire Police confirmed that the 15-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday night in Leamington Spa and remained in police custody.

Two weeks ago, police had announced that they had compiled a list of more than 40 possible suspects following a number of appeals to the public for help.

Rewards totalling £30,000 have been offered for information leading to the arrest of the attacker.

Teen admits supermarket toilet rape
A 15-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to the rape of an 11-year-old girl in a supermarket toilet. The teenager had been accused of attacking the girl in the toilet at the Sainsbury's store on the Shires Retail Park in Leamington Spa on March 2. He also admitted another four charges of sexual assault during the hearing at Warwick Crown Court.

Teenager Arrested Over Rape Of 12-Year-Old Girl
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of 12-year-old girl in east London. Three males lead the girl to a "secluded" end of a street in Walthamstow at around 00:15 on Saturday before two of them attacked her, held her down and raped her.

Woman Arrested At Heathrow On Terrorism Charges
A 25-year-old woman has been arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of terrorism offences. It is understood that the woman was travelling with her one-year-old son when officers arrested her as she disembarked a flight from Turkey. Police said her charges relate to offences in Syria.

11 Arrested After Two People Jump From Stena Ferry
An investigation into two people missing from a ferry has led to the arrest of 11 people in the Netherlands. The Stena Britannica, sailing from Harwich to the Hook of Holland, reported on Thursday morning that two passengers were missing, and were thought to have jumped overboard.
