Two arrests over Securitas robbery

Police investigating the £53 million Securitas robbery in Kent have arrested two men.

A 27-year-old man was arrested in Crowborough, East Sussex and an 18-year-old man was arrested in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

The men are now being questioned at Tonbridge police station on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.

Another man - a 19-year-old from Ilford, Essex - is also being interviewed under caution.

Today's arrests bring the total number of people arrested in connection with the robbery to 25.

The £53 million robbery at the Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent on February 22 was the largest cash robbery to take place in the UK.

Five people have been charged in connection with the robbery.

John Fowler, 57, from Staplehurst in Kent was charged with conspiracy to rob, as well as the kidnapping of the depot manager and his wife and son and handling stolen goods.

Stuart Royle, 47, of Maidstone, Jetmir Bucpapa, 24, of Tonbridge and Lea John Rusha, 33, of Tunbridge Wells, have all been charged with conspiracy to rob.

Kim Shackleton, 39, of Maidstone, was charged with handling stolen goods.

All five remain in custody and are due to appear in court on June 12.

Nine appear in court over £53m Securitas raid
Nine people have appeared in court charged in connection with the £53 million robbery at a Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent. Six men and three women appeared at the Old Bailey via video link at the plea and case management hearing. The case has now been adjourned until October 3 and a provisional trial date has been set for April 16 next year.

Man in court over Securitas robbery
A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the £53 million Securitas robbery in Kent. Ermir Hysenaj, 27, from Crowborough, East Sussex appeared before Maidstone Magistrates Court charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. He was remanded in custody to reappear in court on April 24.

Five people remanded over Kent depot robbery
Five people have been remanded in custody on charges related to the £53 million robbery at the Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent last month. Four men and one woman were remanded until June 12 at a preliminary hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday.

Man arrested over Securitas depot robbery
Police investigating the £53 million robbery at the Securitas depot in Kent have arrested a 48-year-old man. The man was arrested at an address in Rochester and is being questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to rob. Kent police said that a number of premises were searched following the man's arrest.

Extradited Briton Charged With UK’s Biggest Cash Robbery
A British man extradited from Morocco has been charged in connection with the UK's biggest cash robbery. The suspect, who was flown from Morocco on Thursday and held overnight in custody in Maidstone, Kent, will appear at Maidstone Magistrates' Court later on undisclosed charges relating to a 53m raid on a Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent.
