Couple traced in special constable murder case

Police investigating the murder of special constable Nisha Patel-Nasri have announced that they have traced a couple who saw a suspect fleeing the scene.

The couple have spoken to police and confirmed that the hooded man seen running from the murder scene was black.

Police are also trying to trace a second man spotted walking away from the murder scene in Wembley, north-west London.

Mrs Patel-Nasri, 29, bled to death after being stabbed in the leg outside her home in Sudbury Avenue, Wembley, last Thursday night.

It is understood that she went outside in her night clothes just before midnight after hearing a disturbance outside.

Police believe that she might have been killed with her own kitchen knife, which she may have taken outside with her.

One of the knives, a John Lewis "Evolution" stainless steel knife is missing from Mrs Patel-Nasri's kitchen and it has not yet been found.
