Stabbed PC - murder weapon found

The knife used to murder special constable Nisha Patel-Nasri has been found, police have revealed.

Mrs Patel-Nasri, 29, was stabbed to death outside her home in Wembley, north-west London on May 11.

Police believe that she may have been killed with her own kitchen knife. A John Lewis Evolution stainless steel knife was found to be missing from her kitchen after her death.

It is believed that she may have taken the knife outside to investigate a disturbance outside her home.

Police said that the knife had been examined and DNA from her suspected killer had been found.

Police have also released CCTV footage of car seen close to Mrs Patel-Nasri's home before and after the stabbing.

The light grey Audi saloon was seen close to the special constable's home around an hour before the murder and just after the stabbing took place.

CCTV footage of a man see walking down a street in the area have also been released. He is not thought to be a suspect, but police believe he may be a potential witness.

An appeal for information is being made on BBC One's 'Crimewatch' programme on Tuesday night.
