Relative held over family deaths

Police are continuing to hold a 33-year-old man in connection with the deaths of four of his relatives in Newcastle.

The bodies of Olufunke Sobo, 36, her brother Yemi and her two children, Abigail, 12, and five-year-old Steven Crampton were found in Hawthorn Gardens, Newcastle.

According to reports, the man, who is related to the dead family, is not yet medically fit to be questioned. He was arrested in Gateshead, several hours after the bodies were found.

Police have refused to confirm reports that he was the father of the children, but they have said that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

The house where the bodies were discovered remains sealed off.

Another property in Rydal Road, Gosforth, has also been sealed off to allow a search to take place, in connection with the investigation.

Post-mortems are being carried out on the bodies.

Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of three bodies in Harrow. A woman and two children were found dead at a property on Woodgrange Close, north-west London on Thursday evening. At around 5.20pm, officers were called to reports of a woman and two children with injuries at the house where they discovered the bodies.

Police in Scotland are working to identify two bodies found on separate beaches in Scotland on Thursday. The body of a man was found on a beach in St Andrews, while another body of a man was recovered on a beach near Glencaple, in Dumfries and Galloway.

Two Bodies Found In Surrey
An investigation is underway in Surrey following the discovery of two bodies at a house in Esher. On Monday 29 June, officers attended a property at Simmons Gate at around 10am. The bodies belonged to a woman in her 40s and a teenage girl.
