Legal victory for Bono against former stylist

Rock star Bono has won his legal battle with a former stylist over items she took from the star nearly 20 years ago.

The U2 frontman had been involved in a legal row with Lola Cashman over a number of items, which he said had been taken without permission during the band's 'Joshua Tree' tour.

Testifying at Dublin's High Court last month, Bono said that the items - a Stetson hat, a pair of metal hooped earrings, a green sweatshirt and a pair of black trousers - had been taken without permission.

However, Ms Cashman insisted that the items - which were estimated to be worth around £3,500 - had been a gift from the star.

She claimed that the singer put the Stetson on her head, after she asked for the hat at Arizona's Sun Devil stadium on the last night of the tour.

Ms Cashman had appealed against a court ruling from last year ordering her to return the items.
