Soldiers hurt in Basra attack
A rocket and mortar attack on a British base in Basra has injured six military personnel.
One has been seriously injured in the attack on the Basra palace camp, while four others received minor wounds.
An MoD spokesperson confirmed that the British camp had come under fire on three separate occasions last night.
Two soldier received treatment at the camp, but four others had to be treated at a field hospital for their wounds.

British soldier killed near Camp Dogwood is identified
The British soldier who was killed near Camp Dogwood - the fourth in five days - following a bomb attack on a Black Watch armoured patrol has been named. Private Pita Tukutukuwaqa, of the 1st Battalion The Black Watch, was killed instantly when his Warrior armoured vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb at around 9.30pm GMT yesterday evening.

British tank driver injured in Basra explosion
The driver of a British Challenger 2 tank was seriously injured after the vehicle was damaged by a roadside bomb in Iraq. The incident happened in a western district of Basra on April 6, while the tank had been on routine duties. Another member of the three-man crew also suffered minor injuries in the attack.

British soldier killed in Iraq
A British soldier has been killed in Iraq, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed. The soldier, from 1st Battalion The Light Infantry, died following an attack on a Multi National Force base in Basra City. A mortar round exploded within the perimeter of the base at around 0300 local time, the MoD said.

Suicide bomb attack injures two British soldiers in Iraq
Two British soldiers are being treated in Germany for injuries sustained following a suicide car-bomb attack on an armoured vehicle near to Camp Dogwood. The two army technical officers who were on attachment with the Black Watch were flown to Germany for medical treatment to serious injuries to their lower legs.

Four British soldiers killed in Iraq
Four British soldiers and a civilian interpreter have been killed in a roadside bomb blast in Iraq, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed. A fifth soldier was also seriously wounded in the attack and is being treated in the military hospital in Basra.
