Killers and Foo Fighters lead line-up at V Festival

US rock bands the Killers and the Foo Fighters have been announced as the headliners for this year's V Festival, which will be held in Essex and Staffordshire.

The line-up for the event, now in its twelfth year, also includes Snow Patrol, Kasabian, Pink, James, Basement Jaxx, Amy Winehouse, The Coral, Manic Street Preachers, Primal Scream, Damien Rice, Babyshambles, the Happy Mondays, Paolo Nutini, the Editors, KT Tunstall, James Morrison, Corinne Bailey Raw, Sophie Ellis Bextor, the Proclaimers and the Goo Goo Dolls.

Up-and-coming new acts that also feature on the bill include The Kooks, Lily Allen, The Fratellis, Mika and The Fray.

The V Festival will take at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffordshire on August 18 and 19.

Two Men Stabbed At Wireless Festival
Two men are being treated for stab wounds following an incident at London's Wireless festival. It is understood that the attack on the two happened at around 21:00 on Sunday at the festival site in Queen Elizabeth park, east London. One of the men is said to be in critical condition and the other in a stable condition.

Full line-up announced for Glastonbury festival
The full line-up for this year's Glastonbury festival has been announced. The three-day event in Somerset kicks off on June 22, with the Arctic Monkeys headlining the main Pyramid Stage. The Killers will headline the main stage on Saturday, with The Who leading the main stage line-up on the Sunday night.
