River body identified as missing boy
A body found in a river in Fife has been identified as that of a missing ten-year-old boy.
Steven Henderson, 10, was reported missing on Saturday evening after failing to return home from playing with friends.
He was last seen around 7:30pm in the Methil area, known locally as 'The Dam'.
An extensive search was launched, involving police, firefighters, the RAF, the Coastguard and International Rescue.
His body was found in the River Leven on Sunday afternoon, close to where he had last been seen playing.
Steven's family released a statement through Fife Police. It said: "Steven was a very happy, cheeky wee boy and always looked for adventure. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and in particular, by his older brother Mark and younger sister Clare."
A post-mortem is due to be carried out and police said that a reporter will be sent to Procurator Fiscal.

A body has been discovered in Sutton Mill by police investigating the disappearance of Jennifer Hayman. The body was found at 18:00 on Thursday. Formal identification has not yet been made, but police said that Ms Hayman's family have been informed of the find. A post-mortem is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Gwent Police have appeal for help in tracing a missing 13-year-old boy. Michael Driver has been missing from his Monmouthshire home since Saturday 12 October. Michael is described as 4ft 5in (1.3m) tall, with dark hair and is of slight build, when last seen he was wearing a black hooded top and jeans.

Body Found In River Following Search For Missing Boy
A body has been found from the River Great Ouse in Cambridgeshire by police searching for a missing boy, believed to be 15-years-old. The boy went missing in the river near Church Lane in Harford on Thursday afternoon. The death is not being treated as suspicious.

The search for the missing 12-year-old British school boy who was missing on a French island has come to an end as detectives announce his body has been identified. Pierre Barnes from Grantham in Lincolnshire was exploring the island of Porquerolles in southern France last Saturday when he disappeared.

Recovered Body Confirmed As Missing POlice Officer
Cumbria Police have confirmed that a body found on Tuesday was that of a missing police officer. Police searching for Detective Sergeant George Atkinson, recovered his body in the Cogra Moss area. Mr Atkinson was 46 years old from Springbank, Whitehaven. He was employed as a Detective Sergeant at Cumbria Constabulary, based in west Cumbria.
