Teenage girl charged over man's murder

A 16-year-old girl has been charged with the murder of Paul Sandbach in Greater Manchester at the weekend.

The 53-year-old former pub landlord from Sandbach Road in Sale Moor, was assaulted near Cafe Nero on School Road early on Sunday morning.

He suffered a head injury in the attack and was treated at the scene, but declined to go to hospital.

Police visited Mr Sandbach's home the next day and found him collapsed inside. He was later pronounced dead.

The teenager, who cannot be named because of her age, is due to appear before Trafford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

Teenage girl held over man's death
Police have arrested a 16-year-old girl on suspicion of the murder of a man in Greater Manchester at the weekend. Paul Sandbach, 53, of Sandbach Road in Sale Moor, was assaulted near Cafe Nero on School Road early on Sunday morning. Mr Sandbach suffered a head injury in the attack and was treated at the scene, but declined to go to hospital.

Four arrested in car crash murder investigation
Four people have been arrested in Reading following the discovery of a man found dead in a car which had collided with a tree. Three men aged 23, 27 and 42 and a woman aged 44 are currently being held in custody at Reading police station.

Teenage Girl Charged With Murder Of 35-Year-Old Man
A 15-year-old girl has been charged with the murder of 35-year-old man Mark Roberts. Mr Roberts (35) was found suffering head injuries on Balidon Road, Weston-super-Mare in October. He later died in hospital. The teenage girl was remanded in custody to appear before North Somerset Magistrates' Court.

Man Charged With Road Accident Stabbing Murder
A 34-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Donald Lock in Findon, who was stabbed following a minor traffic accident in Worthing on Thursday, 16 July. Matthew Daley, of St Elmo Road, Worthing, was charged with murder and possession of a knife in a public place.

Police continue to question girl over attack on boy
Police are continuing to question a 12-year-old girl about the attack on five-year-old Anthony Hinchliffe. Five children were originally arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, after Anthony was found, suffering from injuries to his neck on Tuesday. However, the other four children were released without charge.
