Natasha's Body Identified

Police have confirmed that a body found in undergrowth near a railway line in Essex is that of missing teenager Natasha Coombs.

The 17-year-old had vanished after a night out with friends in Ipswich on July 27.

The body was found close to Manningtree Station on Friday, but the identity was only confirmed today. Dental records were used to identify the body which is understood to have injuries consistent with being hit by a train.

The clerical assistant was last seen boarding a train to her home in Dovercourt from Ipswich. She had been on her way home following a meal with friends.

Police who had conducted inquires for a missing person said that the investigation was now a matter for the coroner as there was no evidence of criminal activity.
